Hey, I'm Camille
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Paris, France.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family, and what began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to France wasn't part of the plan for the long haul. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far more significant.
The initial months were demanding — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more tangled than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning on the job. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created NestSereinStone
Most online information leaned either toward corporate relocation advice or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical guidance grounded in real life in France.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on insights from living in France
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site is not:
- An official tourism-board resource
- A sponsored review site
- Just another generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our time in France continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue noting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Paris or anywhere in France, feel free to get in touch.
Best regards,
Camille
